which is better for acne: home remedies or store bought?

so.. home remedies, like aspirin mask, olive oil, honey and sugar scrubs, drinking water, etc…. OR…store brought products with benzoyl peroxide etc, things like proactive, clean and clear, neutrogena, other brand names. Is home or store more effective for great skin?

It truly does depend on skin type, severity of skin issues and preferences. I have dry/sensitive skin with some breakouts. I prefer getting natural products (which are store bought) over benzoyl peroxide and other usual acne remedies/treatments. –they all dry me out and burn! So for me, natural products and natural home concoctions work best for me.

I used to put toothpaste on my breakouts and it worked great. It will dry it up and take the redness away.

Neither…go to a dermatologist and get scripts. Duac, Differin and Doryx work exceptionally well.

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

I tried all that topical stuff but I found doxycycline which is a miracle drug for me. It will clean up your face and in a reasonable amount of time too. Acne will be a thing of the past

Home remedies work and don’t have the risks involved with harsh chemicals such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid and other ingredients known to increase the frequency of birth defects in male offspring that requires at least one, and often multiple surgeries on their penis to correct.

Consider this: benzoyl peroxide is used to both promote and induce skin cancer in lab animals. Without the benzoyl peroxide, skin cancer frequency is very low – almost non-existant. Scientists are NOT using ingredients in natural skin care products to induce or promote skin cancer in lab animals. Scientists aren’t using natural soap, oatmeal, vitamin E and diluted tea tree oil to cause skin cancer in lab animals. These things all control acne and help feed the protective layer of your skin. Things that make you say, hmmm.

Scientists have never made a connection to natural oils and increased rates of birth defects like they have with petro-based oils, fragrances and plasticisers in conventional products.

Scientists have never connected any of the ingredients in natural products to an increased risk of Reye’s Syndrome, a lethal liver and brain disorder, like they have with salicylic acid.

Yet, natural solutions work just as well, if not better, than conventional products with all those risks.
