What is the most effective over-the-counter acne treatment for acne prone skin?

Proactive made my skin worse.

try smashing orange peels and put a little amount of milk until it becomes like a paste. rub it on your face and leave it for 30 mins. then wash your face and rub fresh garlic on you acne and leave it overnight. it’s kinda stinky but it usually works. try it for 2-3 days..there’s nothing to lose. ….
…if preparing the orange peel and milk paste is too much work for you, you can just try rubbing garlic on your acne. hope this helps…

You’re probably not going to believe me .. but actually just washing your face with water is the most effective.. Chemicals in face washes just strip your face of good bacterias that fight the bad bacterias….

The best thing I’ve ever found is called lava soap. Its used in garages and stuff to scrub grease of your hands. You can find it with the regular soaps in the grocery store.

Don’t apply it directly to your face, its too strong. Rub the bar between your hands and use the lather on your face.

I’ve had terrible acne since I was a teen and since I started using lava soap, my skin is so clear! :-)

"Bye Bye blemish drying lotion" sold at walgreens (especially good for on the spot treatment) worked good for me

Getting a treatment for your acne may involve you being able to know what skin type you have. This is important in your choice of appropriate acne product to use.

Proactiv is an excellent acne product. Yet a lot of people complain of not getting the best from this product. Skin type and your history with acne could be the reason.

My advice to you… don’t just follow other people’s recommendation. Get to understand your skin and use the appropriate product.

There is no one acne product that works perfectly for every body.

    googd luck
